SUPPORT THE BORDER BOOK FESTIVAL

We appreciate your donations of artwork, books, school and art supplies.  We accept gently used or new copies of children’s and adult books in any language.  They can be either paperback or hardcover.  We distribute books to area schools, prisons, The Gospel Rescue Mission, Safe Haven Animal Shelter, La Casa Battered Women’s Shelter among other various organizations throughout our borderland area and in northern México.  What we can’t resell in the Cultural Center we can pass on to those who need and love books. 

Have an old bed or refrigerator or a used piano and don’t know what to do with it?  We have been the recipients of all these items and they have helped us and others.  Don’t know what to do with used clothing?  We can help pass it along to those in need.  We are always in need of bookshelves and have an ongoing List of Items needed.  Please review this list from time to time to see what we are in need of.

LIST OF NEEDS:

• A computer desk and hutch
• A digital camera to records events
• A popcorn machine for events
• Bookshelves of all sizes
• A comfy red couch for our living room
• A kitchen cabinet or trastero
• A new vaccum cleaner
• Your ongoing support and goodwill!

We have had the great fortune of receiving Estate Sale items.  BBF friend and comadre now in spirit, María del Carmen Rodríguez from El Paso, Texas, left us her books when she passed on.  We thank her for her generosity and for being a staunch lover of the Word.  You can bequeath your books to us.  Do know they will find a home with those who are grateful.
