Creativity Workshop: Rituals & Transitions with Cristina García
Come prepared to loosen the muse and unleash the “duende” within! Through a series of guided exercises for all ages and levels, we will tap into the stories we were born to tell. We will use talismans, poetry and music to invite more creativity into our lives and enrich each other’s sense of narrative possibilities.
Important: Please bring a small, personal object to tell us a story about, as well as a copy of a poem you love.

Making of an Alpana around the tree planting site. Alpana is an Indian form of Mandala art to bless, mark, and adorn the ground on special occasions, practiced primarily in India and Bangladesh.

Tree Planting Ceremony: Tree Planting Ceremony: an open air Arts Event for the Earth,
through Indian Mandala Painting, Music, and Poetry Reading,
in honor of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Bengali poet, Rabindranath Tagore.
Presented by Sudeshna Sengupta, a visual artist, singer and art educator trained in India,
working in the US for over twenty years. |

"Living Miraculously/Viviendo Milagrosamente: A Ceremony with and for Mother Earth"
An Interactive workshop with Margarita Návar.
In honoring Vasundhara/Madre Tierra, we take a moment to pause and reflect on just how to accomplish this personally globally. This ceremonia/workshop offers us an opportunity to personally connect with Mother Earth in an open air setting by first connecting with ourselves, our innermost being. Who are we, where do we come from, and whyare we here? Through reflection and ceremony, we join forces with Vasundhara to create a commitment to her and our healing.

Colored Pencil Drawing Workshop with Liliana Wilson
All ages welcome.
In this drawing workshop you will learn to draw what you see. Whether you want to be a painter or a sculptor—your ability to draw realistically and constructively provides you with a solid basis for professional growth. Students will work with objects such as flowers, fruits or toys. Black drawing pencils, and color Prismacolor pencils will be explored. You will gain a better understanding of composition, light, shadow & color.
You need to bring the following:
- A set of 12 Prismacolor pencils
- 1 Kneaded eraser
- A dimensional object that you like: flowers, fruits or toys. If not, we will have some for you.
These items will be provided:
- Paper
- Black pencils
- Kneaded erasers
You do not need to have previous drawing experience or what you consider talent or skill. All you need is a heart full of gratitude and the will to do it!
