THE WOMEN'S JOURNALING WORKSHOP
AT THE CULTURAL CENTER DE MESILLA

The Women's Journaling Workshop (WJW) meets once a month, usually on a Sunday night from 5-7:00 p.m. at the Cultural Center de Mesilla. Dedicated to women's creativity, we meet to write, share food and story.
Women of all ages are invited to join the ongoing workshop. All you need is a journal, a $5 donation for the workshop and food to share with the group.
We meet because story matters to us and the form it takes is always surprising, heartfelt and miraculous. We have met at the banks of the Río Grande one hot August day, at the Sun Lanes Bowling Alley, and most recently to share a margarita at the Double Eagle Restaurant as we made our lists of 15.
We most often meet at the Cultural Center to paint, decorate Día de Los Muertos sugar skulls and select dream stones. We are comprised of published and unpublished writers, artist, teachers, retired business women and mothers. We are all ages and all women. Come and join us as we explore through journal writing the essence of our lives. We take turns leading the workshop and you never know what is coming down that literary road and that's how we like it.
We are an open, non-judgemental and funny group. We eat well and play as if our lives and stories matter. And they do!
